Chaim finds one of the most rewarding aspects of being a Funeral Director is helping facilitate families saying goodbye to their loved ones in a way that is meaningful to them.

When not keeping busy at Hopes Chaim has a passion for designing and making jewellery, gardening, cooking and spending time with his young family. His favourite place in Dunedin is the Andersons Bay Cemetery, one of the largest Cemeteries in the South Island it is an area full of cultural history and significance. The coastal outlook, and rocky surrounds add to this being a very special place. At his funeral Chaim would play ‘On Melancholy Hill' (Gorillaz).
