Gary Wybrow — Funeral Director
Career with Hope and Sons - 2000-2007; and 2008-2018.
Gary first started to consider becoming a funeral director after meeting an embalmer at a wedding. The conversation sparked his curiosity, eventually leading him to Hopes in the year 2000. Gary acted as Dignity Funeral Services manager from 2010.
A natural problem solver Gary loves the variety of his role, where every day is different and he gets the opportunity to help people on a daily basis. A service Gary remembers vividly is a group of friends performing the Haka at a young boys funeral. In his spare time he can be found fly fishing, playing golf or jet skiing. Home is his favourite place, where he can hang up his suit, relax and enjoy time with his wife Averill and their young children. The song he would choose for his funeral would be ‘Thief’ (Third Day).
