WHY PLAN AHEAD?
When it comes to funerals, many of us don't like to think about them, let alone plan for them. Today more and more people are changing the way they think and find that it makes a lot of sense to pre-arrange their funeral or join a prepayment plan. You can have the peace of mind that your wishes are known and that you have made arrangements for them to be carried out.
WHY HAVE A FUNERAL?
Time has helped evolve customs and rituals and those with us today are the ones which have proven to offer the most comfort and support. The funeral is the final opportunity that family and friends have to publicly express their love and respect for the deceased. If it is arranged carefully and sensitively so that it expresses the feelings and fulfils the needs of everyone attending, then it can be enormously beneficial in helping people come to terms with their loss.
It is the first and most important step towards working through ones grief and re adjusting to life. The therapeutic value of the funeral is widely recognised.
And finally, from a practical point of view, the funeral assures the legal, reverent and dignified burial or cremation of the deceased.
PRE-PAID FUNERALS AND PRE-PLANNED FUNERALS
To save family members the burden of funeral arrangements we have a Pre-Arrangement Service. All details are recorded by Hope & Sons in the strictest confidence. No obligation inquiries are welcome and advice is given at any time.
The FDANZ Funeral Trust is a pre-arrangement plan available through members of Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ) of which Hope & Sons is a member.
Pre-paid funeral funds are not held by Hope & Sons Ltd or any other associated business. Hope & Sons Ltd complies fully with the pre-paid bylaws of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand and their Funeral Trust, who holds the funds until they are needed.
The FDANZ Funeral Trust is a secure way to pre-pay for your funeral. This Trust has been established by FDANZ to assist anyone to make arrangements for their funeral, or the funeral of another person such as a family member.
